Gaming addicts has becoming a serious issue over time. By studying our culture probe, we found couple of interesting common issues with hard-core gamers who cannot control their gaming addiction.
The Conflict:
Time management is crucial for gamers like that. If THE USER is able to manage and follow their schedules well then there is a high chance for them to pick themselves back up. However, existing systems are mostly optional. They are neither able to restrict the time used on gaming nor threaten THE USER in anyway if rules are violated. Lucky enough, most of THE USERs are still willing to change and head for goodness. Therefore we can ask them to obey rules that they set by themselves. We basically take the time from THE USER and reward them with the same time period when certain tasks are completed.
The Solution:
Therefore, we need a complete solution to solve above issues and target each key points directly in order to help relief gaming addictions.
Our prototype consist of 4 modules each targeting the specific issue. In addition, we reward and punish THE USER's accordingly to help them help themselves.
